(I was asked to make this one rebloggable)
Not a weird question at all! Here’s a quick rundown of the prominent ones (ie; characters with arcs and even series of their own) I am aware of!
The Old DCU
Batwoman and Renee Montoya had fairly frequent story lines together as ~tempestuous~ ex-lovers during the post-Infinite Crisis period. They most notably featured in the latter half of 52 and back-up stories in Detective Comics during the time Batman was “dead”.
Obsidian (Todd James Rice) is a JSA oldie, although he didn’t come “out” until mid-90’s Justice League during the really, really awkward post-Giffen/DeMatties era. There does, however, happen to be a quality series that co-stars him (and gives him a romance even!) - the 2004 Manhunter on-going. It’s only #25 issues and quite a good book (with a strong female lead) regardless.
Gail Simone’s Secret Six had both an on-going relationship between female team-mates Scandal Savage and Knockout and the revelation that Catman was bisexual (although I don’t think that was ever explored in the text iirc B[). (psst, Secret Six was also a great book!)
Holly Robinson is a recurring Catwoman regular who even served a stint in the Catsuit herself after Selina gave birth. She gets a lot of screentime in Catwoman Vol. 3 (which began in 2002 with Ed Brubaker’s excellent run) and even gets to be in a long-term relationship.
Piper is great too! He’s a reformed member of the Flash’s Rogue Gallery (know simply as ‘The Rogues’ because they are simply the best Rogue Gallery around) and close friend of Wally West. He appears fairly frequently throughout Flash Vol. 3 (otherwise known as “The really long run starring Wally West and written mostly by Mark Waid and Geoff Johns”).
Grace Choi and Thunder from Outsiders and later Birds of Prey are another long-term female superhero couple. As is the sad case with many C, D, E and F-listers, they tend to be all over the place in continuity (and, unfortunately, one of Grace’s more important recent appearances was in the horrendous Amazons Attack! crossover. auuugh), but I’ve always been a big fan of Grace and would say she’s worth tracking down. (thank you snazzysnafu)
Monsieur Mallah and The Brain. Okay, so they’re a talking Gorilla and a brain in a jar. But they are also in love. I feel like I should be down on these two because their relationship can probably be read as a fairly juvenile “ha ha gay” joke but… I just cannot. A brain in a jar and a Hyper-Intelligent Gorilla in love is basically the stuff I read comics for.
(yeah, I’m reaching here. DC is…… not great at this…..)
The New DCU
Batwoman has her own book now and it’s really good.
Apparently the Alan Scott (the other other Green Lantern) of Earth 2 (the DCnU’s JSA book) has been re-imagined as a gay man. Or will be. Or might be. It’s an interesting choice since his son in the OLD DCU is Obsidian, who does not exist in the new canon. I am still forming opinions on this.
The new Teen Titans book apparently has a new gay character as well, called Bunker. I don’t know anything about him, but here’s his ComicVine page. He’s featured in the TT run currently on the shelves. (thanks again to snazzysnafu !)
The new Birds of Prey has a bisexual character named Starling, who I have been told is delightful! (thank you, romanadvoratrelundar )
Marvel
One guarantee in Marvel is that ALL of the “New Generation” team books have queer characters:
Runaways had Karolina and Xavin (who actually had some gender issues between them that I am way too cis to comment on re: how well or badly handled it was. I really enjoyed them (a lot) but personally always felt there was something a little off. I can elaborate if you want, but I just want to give a fair warning that there could be problematic issues relating to gender identity and policing in their arc).
Young Avengers (and subsequently Avengers: Children’s Crusade), of course, has Wiccan and Hulkling who I think might be Marvel’s highest profile gay romance.
Avengers Academy has both a bisexual and gay character, although I don’t want to say who since they both have coming out arcs and I sort of feel like this is a spoiler? Avengers Academy is worth your time anyway.
The New X-Men has Anole, although I admit I have never read this book and basically know nothing about him. I am so out of the X-Book loop these days. ~(-_-)~
Aside from the “kid” books, there is also:
The current run (written by Marjorie Liu) of Astonishing X-Men, which has given a load of character development to Northstar, Marvel’s first openly gay character. He’s actually getting married in the June issue!
Speaking of Ms Liu, she also did a run on Dark Wolverine which just happened to star Wolverine’s bisexual son, Daken (who was also on Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers team during the year leading up to Siege). There’s some debate as to whether or not Daken fits the offensive “depraved bisexual” trope, but the comic fandom seems pretty split. I think it’s a YMMV thing. I mean, his entire character type is really a YMMV thing.
The current run of X-Factor has Shatterstar and Rictor, who are perhaps the first example of a popular ~subtexty~ slash pairing becoming canon. I guess this also makes all of their interaction in the 90’s X-Force canonical romantic tension as well, but 90’s X-Force is kind of… really 90’s. Even the good parts of it. So… just read X-Factor. Shatterstar doesn’t join the team until Issue #45, but I seriously recommend the entire run. It’s one of the only comics I spend money on right now.
In the Ultimate X-Men comics, Colossus was gay, involved with Northstar and a relatively prominent character. I haven’t read Ult. X-Men in years and years and years, though, so I have no idea what’s going on there these days. Still, the early Ult. comics are pretty good!
Also, it’s no big secret these days that Mystique and Destiny were always meant to be in big gay love with each other (apparently Nightcrawler’s original origin was meant to be Raven transforming into a male and impregnating Destiny??? this is way better than what actually turned out to be true), so you are also free to go back and read all their 1980’s appearances as legitimately queer instead of just intriguing subtext.
AND DON’T FORGET
Midnighter and Apollo of The Authority: everyone’s favourite hyper-violent Batman and Superman expys. Beating up crooks. Gettin’ married. Raising a daughter together. The Authority was originally owned by WildStorm comics, but the imprint was bought by DC a few years ago. You’re going to want to look for the original run because things got weird when WS was bought out (and a bit before, but no comic is perfect). Trigger Warnings all over the place for this one. The Authority is a troubling book sometimes.
I know there are lots more out there, but I think I’m covering all the high profile bases! I hope this guide helps you find at least one character or couple you can get interested in!
Also, to my followers: if I’m missing anyone really obvious, please tell me.

“If you have difficulty with writing, do not conclude that there is something wrong with you. Writing should never be a test of self-esteem. If things are not going as you want, do not see it as proof of an unknowable flaw in your subconscious … If you tell yourself you are guilty for not writing brilliant sentences within five minutes, that stops your subconscious and leads to a host of writing problems. Writing is not an index of psychological health. (Overconscientiousness is one reason a person might aspire to something too ambitious, and then blame himself [herself] if it does not come easily). If you do have any guilt, earned or unearned, that is between you and your psychologist. When you sit down to write, however, you must regard yourself as perfect, omniscient, and omnipotent.
Of course, you are not omniscient and omnipotent; no human skill, if at all interesting, can be perfect every time. Properly, therefore, you should feel that you have the capacity to write well, but that it is difficult. And you should not want an easy job—you do not want to be a hack—and therefore you should take all the trouble, and have all the patience, that writing requires. Do not conclude, at the first difficulty, that you are hopeless. This is the sense in which you must feel omniscient and omnipotent; not that everything you write will automatically be perfect, but that you have the capacity to make your work what you want to make it.”

I can’t even manage a coherent commentary.
I’m so attached to every damn kid Bruce takes in, it’s unfair. I’m more likely to have a SUDDEN ATTACK OF FEELS for, say, Dick or Jason, who’re the ones who got the worst Bruce-ifying, but… lemme break it down.
Sorry I can’t put in a read-more, I’ll make this brief.
My reactions, in a nutshell:
Dick: FUCK YOU BEAR EVERYTHING SO WELL MY BABY, YOU REPRESS SO HARD OH GOD SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF YOU AAAA
Jason: UGH LET ME HOLD YOU MY ANGRY MISUNDERSTOOD LITTLE SHIT AAAUGH JUST COME HERE
Barbara: YOU BRAVE BITCH LOOK AT YOU OH GOD LOOK AT ALL YOU PUSH YOUR WAY THROUGH AND YOU’RE STILL FUNNY ABOUT IT GOOD YES
Stephanie: CUTIE. CUTE BABY JESUS FUCK MY HEART. HOW DID YOU STAY SO DAMN SWEET. HOW. YOU’RE IN GOTHAM AND YOU’RE JUST SO LOVELY.
Tim: OH GOD YOU THINK YOU’RE SO DETACHED AND YOU’RE SO WRONG CAN I HOLD YOU BABY BOY
Cassandra: STOIC AS FUCK AND YOU’RE SO SWEET I CAN’T HOLD THESE FEELS DO YOU KNOW THAT OF COURSE YOU DO IT MUST SHOW LIKE CRAZY UUUGH
Damian: *gross uncontrollable sobbing* PRINCELING COME HERE COME HERE AND LET ME SOOTHE YOUR ANGRY INFERIORITY COMPLEX SOMEONE NEEDS TO GIVE YOU SOME POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

anononthewater asked: Sorry, but I didn't understand the parts about the box in the latest fic. Is this an AU where the Luggage is made by Stibbons?
Oh - yes! Sorry, I would’ve clarified, but I didn’t want to drive the point home too much.
In my Superdisc headcanon, because I’m weird, Ponder is operating - somewhere between Lex Luthor and Tony Stark in terms of his role (with maybe a hint of Dr. Frankenstein). The Luggage is capable of following Rince everywhere because, while he made most of it from various robotic pieces, he admits that it has a sense of smell and eats things because it’s - not all robot.
Rince is kind of disturbed. c:
When you Discworld so hard you superhero AU.
(Referring to this post. In case you were wondering, I WILL NEVER STOP. Start tracking the superdisc! tag.)
Ponder Stibbons/Rincewind. Vague D/s undertones, speedster!Rincewind, mild fetishisation thereof, clinical!Ponder.
Under the cut.
